Colorless Winter

Emeline Armin stretched her arms as she casually laid in the “sunlight” or to be accurate, a colorless monotonous artificial light which reflected the glass panels of the beach. The cold air dotted with yet again…articifical snow fluttered through the glass dome.
Emeline started to shiver due to the coldness in the dome, however she then stopped and started to chide herself on how fortunate she was to not starve in the world outside this very dome. The “Dome” was a artificial simulation that replicated a grayscale version of the planet earth before it crushed under the harsh thumb of natures wrath. It was ruled by “The Monarchess” who kept the inhabitants under a iron fist as she indulged in the pleasures the miniscule dome could offer.
Emeline jumped as she recalled the creation of the dome….she had enough…she was going to leave this dome.
**4 days later**
Emeline hastily packed her bags. She planned to bypass the security while her legs froze to death….tucking her mousy brown hair behind her ear, she then set off… about 2 hours later, she was stopped by a mysterious hooded figure. The hooded figure then grabbed her by the ear and she was dragged back into the dome her breath lost due to the cold.
Memories of her past “love” flashed back to her…the amount of pain she faced, those words, the scratching of nails upon her flesh, the pulling of her hair…she closed her eyes and uttered a plea of desperation.
