Sonnet of the Snow
Written by Isaac Law

As white as snow, a vista so pure and bright,
Fluttering from heaven, covering all in sight.
The winter's cloak, a blanket soft and still,
A frozen winter landscape, hushed, and chilled.
Yet in this cold, a beauty can be found,
Tranquil and calm, its serenity all around.
The world stays silent, as if in deep repose,
A frozen dream, a picture no one knows.
But soon the sun will rise and melt away,
The snow will turn to slush - a muddy grey.
The jewel fades, the spell disenchanted,
But deep in our hearts, the memory’s implanted.
As white as snow, a fleeting work of art,
An ephemeral glimpse of nature's heart.
